10 Irritable Bowel Syndrome Symptoms Indicating You Need a Treatment

2. Stomach Pain

IBS is a condition that primarily affects the stomach, the lining around the stomach and the intestines – and if you have IBS, then you can expect to be dealing with a severe amount of discomfort, swelling and stomach pain in that general area at the same time. This can in itself be a symptom of IBS that means you should go to your doctor for treatment immediately, especially if the stomach and swelling have been going for a very long time, or if you know that you suffer from IBS as it is.

Just so that you know, stomach pain is almost always indicative of some serious health issues if you can’t find the cause for it elsewhere and fi the problem persists for too long. There are many home remedies for stomach pain, though we would recommend a hot compress on the stomach for the pain and swelling until you are able to see your doctor.
