10 Distressing Sun Poisoning Symptoms

When it comes to sun exposure it is easy to overdo it. Most of the time when you are out in the sun for too long you are going to end up with a sunburn. Perhaps you used sunblock regularly and your sunburn is mild. Perhaps you forgot to put on more sunblock after you were in the pool for a while and now you are suffering from a severe sunburn. Severe sunburns can be quite painful and difficult to cope with.

However, if you rest and give it a couple of days they will typically go away on their own. However, if you really overdid it in the sun and have a really bad sunburn, it may actually turn into sun poisoning. Sun poisoning can happen to almost anyone at any time. Here are

10 symptoms of sun poisoning to watch out for.

1. Redness of the Skin

One of the first signs that you have been in the sun for too long is that your skin starts to become very red. This is the signal that you should be getting out of the sun as soon as possible. You will want to try to get into the shade or better, into the house or a building so that your exposure to the sun is minimized. When your skin starts to turn red, it can also begin to hurt a little bit, especially to the touch.

Red skin a symptom of sun poisoning. This is because if the skin becomes very red it can cause you to become quite ill. With skin that is simply red in color, there is no real need for alarm just yet. However, it is also important to note that red skin does not automatically mean that you have sun poisoning as it could mean that you have burned your skin badly.
